How to Make your Research Relevant to Society

The Knowledge Mobilization Unit is pleased to announce the Summer 2021 dates of our 8-week self-directed MobilizeU course!

This summer, MobilizeU will be presented in collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Winnipeg.

The course will run from Tuesday, June 1 to Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Content for each week’s topic, including videos and resources, will be uploaded to the course online platform starting on June 1. Participants can watch the videos whenever it suits them best. The recorded videos will be complimented by a weekly live session every Tuesday afternoon at 2:30-4:00 EDT starting June 8 featuring guest speakers who will address the weekly topic.

The course is free for all York University, Memorial University of Newfoundland and University of Winnipeg faculty, postdocs, graduate students, staff and alumni who have graduated within the last two years. There is a nominal fee for all other participants.

Participants will learn about knowledge mobilization planning, effective ways to share academic research with society and how to measure and communicate the impacts of their research.
